On day in October, my fiancé Victor rendered me speechless, a truly amazing feat, during a trip to Boston. While we were on a train, he suddenly announced his plans to marry me. He told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and raise a family together. "You'll have proof by Christmas Eve, " he told me.
Then, on Christmas Eve, Victor got down on one knee on my mother's driveway in Cocoa Beach and formally proposed with a beautiful diamond ring. "You are my faith, my life and my country, " he said. "Will you marry me? " I was once again left speechless. I grabbed, hugged and kissed him, exclaiming, "Yes! " Victor is such an amazing person. He's brilliant, loyal, unbelievably patient and incredibly supportive. He calms me down and that's difficult to do. We've survived everything together, the good, the bad and the ugly, and we're better for it. There's no one else I'd rather share my life with than him.
