It all started with us going to a baseball game in March. I rushed home to get ready; when I opened the door, I saw a new television. I was furious and told my fiancé not to buy any more electronic because we needed to save money to buy a home. So, I got ready and we were on our way. To my surprise, he decided to take me to the beach to have dinner instead of the game.
So, we went to the Santa Monica Pier to have dinner at Bubba Gump restaurant. We left and started to walk on the pier; he kept on asking if I was still upset about the new television. I wasn't really angry anymore, but opted to play with him and said, "Yes!"
We went to the arcade on the pier. He asked, "Would you like me to win you a ring from the claw machine?" Not really caring, I said, "Sure, okay." He didn't win it, but it was the thought that counted. As we were leaving, he said, "Let me tie your shoe." I was really confused; I was wearing sandals! He then said that he meant his shoe, but I was still really puzzled. When I turned to look at him, he was down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me." I began to cry and I said, "Yes!" He later told me that he used the TV as a decoy so I wouldn't suspect anything.
