One Tuesday, Joe and I went to a free moving screening of He's Just Not That Into You, and it was awesome. I had read the book and thought it was hilarious. After we left the movie, I received a text from my brother, which said that my dog Jade had died. I was heartbroken and cried myself to sleep because Jade was only ten years old. Joe of course was concerned because I had also received news that a childhood friend passed away just the week before. I was emotionally drained.
The next morning, I was with Joe, and he asked me if I was feeling okay. I told him yes and that I was just drained emotionally and still tired because I hadn't slept much at all. He took my hands and just held them, which made me feel better because he is just the sweetest man. Before I knew it, he had slid the ring on my finger and said, "Will you make me happy for the rest of my life by becoming my wife? " I just started crying! I said yes in between sobs.
