I've pretty much loved Disneyland and everything about Disney since I was just a little girl. About three years ago when I met my fiancé Jermaine, I was pretty sure that he was going to be the one. We've made many trips to Disneyland with family and friends. This past year, we came into some extra money and thought it would be great to take his younger sisters and my nieces to Disneyland. My nieces have been there a million times, but his sisters had never gone, so we made plans to go before the holiday.
Everyone was instructed to get up really early so we could get to the park before it opened. Well, we ended up being the first family at the park and because of that, we were chosen to be the family to open up the park. Basically, we signed the record book and were given pins as honorary "citizens " of Disneyland. They let us in first, and we led the waiting crowd on a countdown until the park officially opened, when we screamed at the top of our lungs, "Let the magic begin! "
We immediately made our way to the submarine ride because it usually has the longest line. After the ride, Jermaine suggested that we go to the Peter Pan ride because it also had a long line and because the castle was on the way so we could stop there to make wishes. I really didn't think anything about it because it was his sister's first trip to Disneyland, so they wanted to go everywhere possible. When we got to the castle and made our wishes, Jermaine asked everyone what they wished for, but everyone kept saying how speaking wishes aloud would make them not come true. Then, he asked if we wanted to know what he wished for. I turned around to say something to him, but he was down on one knee. He said that his wish was that I would spend the rest of my life with him by marrying him. I couldn't believe that the perfect man was proposing in the most perfect place during my favorite holiday. It couldn't have gone any better!
