One December morning, after my boyfriend Brad and I had finished our exams, I was ready to go to dinner to celebrate. However, Brad had another plan in mind! He insisted that we both go to get a Christmas tree for my house, as we had for the past few years. Although I was not in favor of the plan due to the rain, Brad wouldn't budge. I took my time selecting the tree, not realizing how anxious Brad was!
When we returned to my house with the tree, I helped Brad to set it up. I remembered that I had to get something from the car, and Brad used this time alone to his advantage, adding a single decoration to the tree. When I walked in, I was surprised to see an ornament hanging from the tree with a ring hanging below! Brad had gotten the ornament made with both of our names and "Will you marry me? " written on it. I was dumbfounded as Brad waited nervously on one knee, saying, "Look, I put an ornament up! " After what seemed like an eternity, and after I finally realized this in fact was happening, I said yes!
