One cool evening, my then-boyfriend woke me up in the middle of the night. He told me to get dressed, and that I would need to dress warmly for the trip we would be taking. Half asleep, I got myself ready and waited for the next installment in the evening. He blindfolded me and led me to his vehicle. Once inside, he played some of our favorite songs. I was told not to peek. A short drive later, he took the blindfold off as he unloaded a bike from the back of the truck. "Pedal until you see something on the path that tells you to stop," he whispered sweetly in my ear. He continued saying "I'll be behind you, and don't worry, I'll catch up with you in time for the surprise."
Confused, I hopped on my bike and pedaled down the path with the moonlight to guide me. After about ten minutes of cycling, I saw a soft glow up ahead on the path. I stopped as my eyes took in the sight - a ten foot wide glowing heart made of tea light candles. He finally caught up with me, and I saw that he was dressed in a three piece suit. He got down on one knee and read me a poem he'd personally written. The last lines were, "Leah, will you marry me?" Of course I said yes, and we've been inseparable ever since.
