Hello my name is Lawrence, and I met the woman of my dreams, Tedra, in June 2008. After falling madly in love with Tedra, I read some of her writing in junior college. I came across a story about her feelings after her father suddenly died when she was 14 years old. The story touched me deeply, the title was "Hold on When You Have the Chance." I felt that at the time she wrote this story, she was a young lady still trying to reach out for help. Being an independent film maker, I decided I would make her story come to life in a short film, showing her that I understand and feel her loss.
Without her knowing, I set out to make this film with the help of some good actors and close friends. On the 19th of December 2008, I told her we needed to go somewhere for a short time and took her to a theater. At the time, I was working on another film, so she thought I was showing her a preview for that film. It was just the two of us in the theater as we watched the film. She got to see her writing come to life on the big screen. She was touched and cried through the whole film. Then at the very end of the film, when the credits were all done, I came on the screen and explained to her why I made the film - how I understood her pain and was there for her along with her close friends. Then, on the big screen, I told her how I felt about her, the song "Endless Love" began playing in the background, and I asked her to marry me. She said yes and made me the happiest man in the world.
