My fiancé Todd and I had gone ring shopping several months before he proposed. I had been anxiously waiting for the day he would pop the question, but it didn't seem to be coming. One day, I went out shopping for his birthday present. We had plans for that night, so when I finished shopping, I headed to Todd's house. When I got there, he invited me to the table, where he had prepared a full dinner with steak, potatoes, vegetables and dessert. As we sat down to eat, I pulled my napkin free from my silverware, and my ring was tied to the spoon with a ribbon! Todd got down on one knee, untied the ring and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes! His original plan was to wait until his birthday, but he said he couldn't wait any more. We spent some quiet time eating dinner together before we started to call our families and friends. It couldn't have been more perfect-- just the two of us celebrating with a romantic dinner at home!
