Tiffany C.

I got engaged on Christmas morning. I hadn't expected much because my boyfriend had been saying all that month that it wasn't going to be a big Christmas, and he was sorry. I was just glad we would be together. I woke up that morning to a million presents! Everything I even mentioned that I slightly liked I got, and more! When I was done, he told me he had one more gift. He gave me a paper he had written on, which read: "It's our first morning of Christmas, and all through the apartment are empty boxes and presents, and one dead looking tree. All the gifts have been opened, except this one in the corner. So don't get too sad because Christmas isn't over. It's time to get moving and get dressed in haste. Put on your new clothes, there's not a moment to waste. Memories and love are the best presents to give. So don't forget your camera because these first pics I called dibs. In this giant stocking, there's one more present to find. It's something you won't want to leave behind. It shows where we're going, just a little clue. Merry Christmas Tiffany, I love you!"

So, I had to dig through this giant stocking that was literally as big as me, until I finally found this tiny wrapped present. It was a snow globe (I love snow globes) of the Salt Lake Temple. Keep in mind that not once did I ever think I would get a ring. We had never even been ring shopping. He made me get ready so we could go take pictures at the temple with my new camera. We got there and walked around; it was freezing and raining/snowing. I kept trying to get him to leave, but he wanted to take a picture in front of the temple by the reflection pool. So we did, and I grabbed his hand and said, "Let's go, I can't feel my face!" He pulled me back and said I had one more gift. I was like, "Are you serious! What else could you possibly give me?" Then, he got on his knee and told me how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I can't remember the rest because I was crying and saying, "Shut up babe! Shut up! Are you serious?" It was exactly how I wanted it to be: amazing and totally by surprise!
