Rings had already been looked at, but I had no idea how or when Yip would propose. But, I knew he would come up with something good. Three weeks after we had gone ring shopping, I received beautiful flowers at work with a note that said, "It feels like a special day today, doesn't it? Love, Yip." As soon as I read the note, I started to get butterflies, but I also didn't want to get my hopes up in case today wasn't the day. When I got home from work, I came inside and found a dozen roses on my table along with a picture of my favorite fountain on the campus of Michigan State University. There was a note that said, "Look familiar? Put on something nice and meet me here. I'll be waiting." So, with nervous hands, I got ready as fast as I could and headed out to the fountain. He was waiting there with a rose and a ring and got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was perfect, and he was right: it was a very special day.
