It was a random October day and we had both been very busy between work and school, and our duties with the volunteer fire department. We hadn't really gotten the chance to have a nice day with each other in a while, so on the morning of October 26, 2007 my fiancé, Kevin, asked me if I would like to grab dinner that night and go for a walk on the boardwalk in Jones Beach.

I agreed, and that night we picked up dinner and went to the beach. Keep in mind that it was October, so it was literally freezing. We went for a walk on the boardwalk, and then sat down on the beach wrapped in a blanket. We had dinner and continued to talk and watch the sunset. After about a half an hour after we finished eating, he asked me if I wanted some chocolate that he had brought home from Manhattan.

Being the chocoholic that I am, I quickly said yes. He took a huge box of chocolate out of his backpack and proceeded to open it. Inside this enormous box was another box about the size of a large chocolate bar surrounded by Hershey's Kisses, Reese's Pieces and all of my other favorite candy. We started snacking, and then he said, "You have to try the chocolate bar in the middle! It's raspberry dark chocolate, your favorite!"

I opened the box and realized that the chocolate bar said, "Will u marry me?"

The next thing I knew he was down on one knee holding a beautiful ring. Of course I said yes!
