I am just an average girl from a small town in Western New York, but my proposal was anything but ordinary. After I graduated from college in Florida, I decided to backpack through Western Europe by myself for seven weeks - a goal I have always wanted to accomplish. Unbeknownst to me, during this time, my boyfriend, Matthew, had flown from Florida to New York to ask my dad for my hand in marriage.
Matt's travels did not stop there. He then flew over to Europe and met me in Venice, Italy. Once in Venice, he proposed to me atop a beautiful hotel terrace, covered in flowers, overlooking the waters and city. It was beautiful and could not have been more romantic!
