January 25th, 2009 was no ordinary day, it was my birthday - the perfect cover-up for my proposal plans. Over the past four months I had designed the perfect ring, asked her parents for their blessing, and planned a proposal to be remembered forever. That morning, I had reminded Tanaz of our lunch reservations across the other side of the city, which would require a walk through Central Park. We started our walk through the park at a brisk 26 degrees outside, although the day was very sunny.
I took her to the but secluded Bow Bridge. I waited for some tourists to clear off the bridge, and as soon as we were alone, I told Tanaz how much I love her and all the reasons I want to spend the rest of my life with her. Then I got down on one knee, took out her beautiful ring, looked her in the eyes and asked "Tanaz, will you marry me?" She replied with a quick "Yes!" and I put the ring on her finger as fast as possible.
Unbeknownst to Tanaz, I hired two photographers to follow our every move. They took pictures of us walking in the park, and of the proposal from both sides of the bridge so we will always have memories of this special moment. We are looking forward to our future making new memories and sharing them with all our family and friends.
