My boyfriend and I planned a trip to Disney to ring in the New Year; there is nothing I love more than Disney fireworks. But when we got to Disney, it was closed, which was really depressing. I wanted to spend my first New Year's with my boyfriend in Disney and kiss him under the castle at midnight. Little did I know that he was freaking out even more because his plans wouldn't pan out. With quick thinking, I said, "Let's just go to Epcot for the day and then see if we can make it to Disney tonight." Well, that worked out, and we spent the day walking around the "world" and kissing in every country. But, all of his plans of a dinner in the castle, a carriage ride down Main Street and a glass slipper with my ring in it were ruined because we had missed our reservations. However, Mr. Sneaky had made a few calls to guest services without my knowledge, and they promised him they would make things up to him.
When we got to Disney, I was super excited that my wish of being able to see fireworks and kiss him would finally come true; or so I thought. Around 11:15 pm, we got off our last ride for the night. We planned to make our way to the castle to get our spot, but all the streets were blocked off, and we were told there was no way we could get to castle because there were too many people. At that point, I wanted to just cry and say forget it. However, my perfect man had already made plans, so with me crying in the background, he convinced the person to let us in. I asked him what he had done, and he just said that he had told them it was my birthday. When we got into the crowd of people, the employee led us right up front and said happy birthday to me. My night was perfect, and I finally got to be where I wanted to be with the man of my dreams. We watched one of the best firework shows Disney has ever done, and I got my kiss at midnight in front of the castle. After the fireworks were done, they still had the whole castle blocked off, but someone let us in. I asked him what was going on as we walked up on stage in front of thousands of people, and he got down on one knee and said, "Emily Anne, you are my princess and love of my life. Will you spend the rest of your life with me?" I said yes! I never thought in a million years that something so amazing would ever happen to me, especially the way the day had been going. But, he pulled everything off and now we are planning a July 3rd wedding just to have fireworks as part of our lives forever.
