Then, he woke up earlier than me on Christmas Day and hung the ring on the Christmas tree. After opening my stocking, he said that my present was on the tree. I wasn't wearing my glasses so it took me a while to find, and I was getting impatient. Once I found it, he didn't bother getting on his knee; it's not his style. He was sitting on our lounge chair and said, "Will you marry me, baby? " It was perfect!
