Adam and I planned to spend Valentine's Day together. We shopped for ingredients at Fresh Market to make a romantic dinner together: steaks, veggies, and baked potatoes (the works). It was a lot of fun!
When I came over, he had a big red-wrapped box on the coffee table for me, but he wouldn't let me open it. After dinner, we went to "Moonlight & Mancini," a performance of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. The performance was highly romantic and very good. We returned to his house, where he finally let me open my present. It was a digital photo frame - I must admit, I was surprised; it wasn't what I expected, even though it was a very nice gift! I opened the box and observed that the frame already had a memory card plugged into it. Adam suggested I plug it in to see if there were any pictures on it. I, of course, had my suspicions, but he'd thrown me off with the gift, so I had no idea what was coming.
The photos on the photo frame were of us from the last two years, of all the memories we've created. I watched them scroll through, and the last frame was Adam, posed on one knee holding a ring box with the phrase, "Will you marry me?" next to the photo. I looked at him in shock and he had the ring out for me. He repeated the question, and of course, I said, "Yes!"
