Tim and I had planned a vacation to travel to California over the summer. Neither of us had ever been to California, so we thought we would get a little taste of some of the fun places California has to offer. We booked our vacation down to all of the minor details. We flew into San Diego and then made our way up the coast to Los Angeles then to Napa and back down to end our trip in San Francisco. We booked fun and exciting things for every day of the trip. We also rented a convertible to drive on the Pacific Coast Highway. About halfway through the trip, we were on our way to Napa. We had gotten there pretty late and went right to our Bed and Breakfast, which was this amazing 12-bedroom house located right in the middle of a vineyard. It was breathtaking. After we signed in, Tim told me he had arranged massages for the morning.
The next day, we got up and went to our scheduled facial and massage. It was so relaxing and romantic of him to book it. When I got back to our room, he was already there waiting for me. He said to shower and get ready because he had made reservations for us to go wine tasting. So, I got ready, and we walked over to the resort right next to ours, which was not in use at the time because it was out if season. We walked up to the resort, which was on a hill and overlooking the entire vineyard. There was a lake right in the middle with all of this amazing greenery. He took me over to the gazebo and then got down on one knee to propose. I was in such shock because I was completely not expecting it. Of course I said yes!
Then to my surprise, we turned around and were brought wine and cheese, which he had ordered for us to celebrate with. Even more amazing, he had hired a photographer to capture the entire thing. The photographer was supposed to be a surprise, and he was going to give me the pictures as my wedding gift. But, the photographer messed up and revealed himself. However, after our wine and cheese, the photographer stayed around, and we got our engagement pictures all around the beautiful vineyard. We celebrated that night at dinner and were able to enjoy the rest of the vacation in San Francisco as an engaged couple. It was the most amazing moment of my life!
