My boyfriend Randy, his son and I had decided to go and visit my family in Colorado and make a trip to Estes Park. As we were exploring Estes Park, my mother suggested that we go to the St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, a gorgeous church set amongst the Rocky Mountains, which was approximately ten miles outside of the park. I didn't want to go because I was getting tired of driving all around Estes Park. When we got there, we began exploring the church and taking a lot of pictures. Randy walked into the church as I was in there with my mom. I asked him if he knew how much it cost to reserve the church, and he said it was $1000. I asked him how he had known, and he said his son had told him. My mom took his son outside so that we could be alone.
Randy continued to take pictures and then embraced me and told me that he loved me. He was acting very strangely and nervously. Then, he got down on one knee and proposed to me. I started crying and shaking, but of course I said yes. We then told his son and my mother. Everyone was very happy! After the obligatory engagement photos, we enjoyed the rest of our day around Estes Park, and we later had a small family engagement party. Overall, it was the best R&R I have ever had, filled with a lot of great memories.
