My fiancé, Gary, and I had a truly coincidental meeting on an airplane. We were both heading to Fort Lauderdale for our spring breaks and he sat in front of me on the plane. Although we exchanged phone numbers, we never met until we returned from spring break.
For the proposal, Gary planned to propose on Good Friday right before Easter. He surprised me with a scavenger hunt across Buffalo, NY. Each location had an Easter egg with a clue inside pointing me to the next destination. He met me in the middle for dinner and then gave me two more Easter eggs. The one egg had directions to get our favorite ice cream from a local store, while the final egg had a key to a hotel room. I managed to make it up to the room and inside was Gary waiting with one last Easter egg with the ring inside! After proposing we enjoyed the ice cream and met all of our friends who he arranged to have waiting downstairs at a bar to celebrate! What a surprise!
