My fiancé and I went on a cruise with Royal Caribbean last December. Every night, they had some form of entertainment including musicals, comedians and game shows. One night, we went to the game show "Love & Marriage" that the cruise staff put on in the large theater area that seated about 1,500 people. My now-fiancé and I were sitting in the front row with some of his family. Right before the show started, they said they had a raffle drawing for champagne. They drew out a paper and read my name from it and asked me to come up on stage and get the bottle. They then gave me a choice between the bottle or what was behind the curtain. Of course, the guy putting on the show and everyone in the audience told me to get what was behind the curtain.
So, I agreed and they covered my eyes before opening the curtain. When I opened my eyes, my fiancé was on his knee in front of me! They then explained to everyone that my fiancé had been planning this proposal since the beginning of the trip and that the champagne drawing was non-existent! They gave us the champagne to celebrate, of course. They had also been recording the whole thing so they gave us the tape on a DVD. When we got back to our room, it was covered in rose petals with swans made from towels! It was very sweet and I couldn't believe that my fiancé had come up with it by himself!
