I must say that I am the luckiest woman in the world to have such a wonderful man! The way he proposed was absolutely amazing and I will never forget it.

I was in Dallas with my family from December 23rd to the 27th. Ryan and I were heading to Vermont to go skiing from the 27th to the 31st. We had previously looked at rings, so I thought that he might propose in Vermont, but I wasn't sure. I honestly thought it wasn't going to happen for a couple of months. My parents told me that I needed to bring a nice dress home with me because we were going out to a fancy restaurant Friday night, December 26th, for dinner. To be honest, I thought this was a little weird because my family is not the "fancy restaurant" type. But, I just thought they wanted to do something different.

On Friday, the whole family got dressed up and headed to Dragon Fly, an amazing restaurant in Dallas, in a hotel called Hotel Zaza. As we arrived at the restaurant and I stepped out of the car, all of the sudden, Ryan came out from around the corner! I didn't have my contacts in so I thought I was seeing things, but as I moved closer I realized it was him! I gave him a big hug and kiss and asked him what he was doing here. He said he missed me and wanted to come and see me, .but at that point I pretty much knew what was about to happen, or I at least hoped it would! My Dad said, "Okay, you guys are going to dinner here and we're going to go to dinner somewhere else. We'll see you in a couple of hours." My Mom and Dad were in on everything, but my brother, grandma and uncle had no idea what was going on. They looked as surprised as I did!

After that, we went into the restaurant and had dinner in a cozy wine room all by ourselves. There were flowers and candles on the table and it was extremely romantic. The dinner was amazing and we had great conversation as always. I thought that he might pop the question at the end of dinner, so after we had our desserts, I started to get very nervous and I was talking extremely fast. After dessert he got up and asked me to join him at the bar for a drink.

After a drink at the bar, we took some pictures in the lobby area that was decorated for Christmas and then he asked me if I wanted to take a look at all of the Christmas trees and Christmas lights outside. We went outside and there was this outdoor bar area that was tented in with candles, couches, a bar and a place for a band. In the corner of the room was a table and couch set up just for us that had a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, flowers and candles. Okay now I knew where he was going to do it! We sat down, toasted the champagne, ate some strawberries and then all of the sudden he grabbed my hand, got down on one knee and proposed! It was a very sweet proposal and I of course said, "Yes!" After the proposal we drank some more champagne and took about 100 pictures. We then took a limo back to my parent's house and celebrated with my family. The whole night was absolutely amazing; I will never forget it and I could not be happier right now. It is obvious that I have an amazing fiancé and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
