One day, the owner of the art gallery that I work at asked me to come in on a Saturday morning. I didn't think much of it because she typically asks me to come in on the weekend once a month or so. Little did I know, she was in on the whole proposal! She and her husband had been coordinating the surprise with my fiancé for weeks. My fiancé arranged to send them a personal proposal message, which they then framed and secretly hung in the gallery.
On this particular Saturday, my fiancé decided to join me at work so that we could go out to lunch later. At the end of the gallery, I rearranged some items that were out of place, but I didn't think much of it at the time. I continued to go about my typical duties tidying up the gallery. After a few minutes, my fiancé asked me to show him around the gallery so he could see all of the latest arrivals. We got to a particular wall, where I noticed that something was different and not quite how I had left it. After a moment, I realized that I was looking at a beautifully framed proposal. At first, I thought it was a joke! I even turned to my fiancé and laughed! He promptly turned me back around and told me to read the whole thing. After about the third time rereading it, I finally realized that it was the real thing. He then led me to a bench, sat me down, got down on his knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.
