Sarah K.

During a quick lunch date earlier in the week, Brannan casually mentioned a dinner for one of the hospitals he works with (he's a medical sales representative) that we were invited to attend that upcoming weekend. Of course, I began stressing about what I was going to wear and that made the week pass by very quickly. Once Friday rolled around, Brannan told me we needed to be at the restaurant by 6 pm to meet some of the other reps for cocktails. He called me about five times that day, asking where I was and when I would be ready. I attributed his nervousness to the fact that he had just started his new position, and this would be his first professional dinner. He picked me up, and we headed to downtown Atlanta during Friday rush-hour traffic. He was driving like a maniac and seemed very stressed out.

Once we arrived at the restaurant, we took the elevator up to the top (72 floors), where there were observatory decks overlooking the entire city of Atlanta. Brannan quickly pulled me aside to the first deck, turned to me and said, "I have a confession to make. We're not here for a hospital dinner." At that moment, I knew he was about to propose. My eyes welled up with tears as he continued to tell me how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He tried to get the ring out of his pocket, but the box was so big it got stuck! Once he finally managed to get the ring box out of his pocket, he got down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" We hugged and cried and then he asked, "So did you say yes?" I said, "Of course! Now give me that ring!" Now I'm the happiest girl in the world!
