Sarah J.

One Thursday morning, my boyfriend Kevin surprised me with a trip to Disneyworld. I had thought we were going somewhere for my birthday on Friday, so I was shocked when he woke me up on Thursday and said we didn't have to go to work. He finally said, "I'm going to get my suitcase. There's a message in the bathroom for you if you don't believe me. " I went to check it out, and there was a stuffed Mickey on the counter with our boarding passes to Orlando. We started packing and getting ready, as the cab outside honked at us.

When I went outside, I saw two of our good friends, Matt and Rebecca, standing there. Rebecca told me that they were taking us to the airport, which I thought was slightly odd because it was a work day. About a mile down the road, Rebecca revealed that she and Matt would be coming with us. I was so excited to go to Disneyworld and then was doubly excited to find out that they would be coming with us! When we got to Orlando, we checked in and had a great time at the Magic Kingdom on Thursday night. We then went to Animal Kingdom on Friday morning and got so soaked on a water ride that we had to go to the hotel and change.

Then, we headed to the Yacht Club Hotel for dinner and planned to go into Epcot afterward. Kevin was acting a little antsy at dinner because he wanted to get to Epcot in time for the fireworks. When we finally went into Epcot, Rebecca and I went shopping at one of the stores, while Matt and Kevin kept rushing us out. As Kevin and I were walking around, I asked him if he was going to get himself something from Disneyland. He stopped me and said, "Well, actually, what I want is you. " He got down on one knee, took the ring box out of his pocket and asked me to marry him! During this time, I was just saying, "What are you doing? What are you doing? " Of course I said yes!

He then put the gorgeous ring on my finger. Matt and Rebecca took pictures of us, and apparently a little crowd had gathered around us, but we didn't see anything else that was going on. While Matt had known the proposal was going to happen and had transported the ring, Rebecca didn't know! My parents and Kevin's parents had known too, and my parents came up on Sunday to celebrate the engagement and my birthday!
