David and I had been together for five years, and we had talked about getting married since the day we met. The day David proposed was like any other day: we woke up, and David brought me my coffee in bed. This morning, I even got breakfast in bed! We then got up and got ready for the day ahead and decided to go for a nice walk. David said he had to pop out for a few hours, so I decided to do some chores. He didn't get home until 6 pm, and he said that he would make dinner, which was delicious. He then said he had to go out for 30 minutes (he went to ask my dad's permission). When he got back, he was upset and looked like he had been crying, so I went to comfort him. He was giving me the biggest hug ever and asked me to marry him. I couldn't believe it! He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him again with the ring, and I said yes! We both hugged and cried for ages! David proposed exactly how I had wanted him to. It was something small and quiet; it was just between the two of us, which was perfect. I am so excited about our future and cannot wait to be married to David!
