We went back to see my family in Pennsylvania for Christmas morning. Under their tree was a gift that read, "To: Samantha, From: Santa." It was a really big box, so I started to unwrap it; it took me close to twenty minutes to unwrap the whole thing. I went through multiple boxes and wrapping paper, and finally got down to a tiny ring box.

I then opened it - it was empty. My whole family laughed; I thought they played a joke on me, because I had wanted a ring badly. Then I looked over at my fiancé. He grabbed my hand, got down on one knee and proposed. It was the best day ever!
