Who is Stina Persson? A celebrated illustrator, Stina's distinctive works are in mixed media, watercolors and ink. Her style is a modern take on illustration that finds just the right balance between edgy and elegant, raw and beautiful.

Where has Stina been? She has lived and studied in Tokyo, Italy and New York before returning to her birthplace of Sweden, at the time when she was expecting her first child. For an energetic and creative tomboy, growing up in Sweden in the seventies was perfect, thanks to the cultural emphasis on unisex and do-it-yourself.

What inspires her to create such imaginative designs? Besides her natural love of drawing and painting, "I spend lots of time in thrift stores looking for old magazines, vintage fabrics, cool ceramics—all these things inspire me greatly. Lately nature is inspiring more and more too."
