There are four customary good luck tokens for a bride as she embarks on her wedding day taken from an old English poem. Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue.
Something old signifies family, heritage and tradition. Something new represents the bride entering into her new marriage. Something borrowed is meant to be an item on lend from someone in an exemplary marriage. Lastly, something blue is based on the color of wedding gowns before the 19th century when brides began wearing white.
Traditional ideas of something blue include a blue garter or lingerie, a blue handkerchief, blue shoes or a monogram in blue thread sewn into the bride's wedding dress. Today there are even more unique ways to have something blue at your wedding. Brides are wearing blue toenail polish, blue jewelry and blue hair accessories.
There are wonderful ways to incorporate blue into a wedding, such as blue wedding invitations, a blue sash on the wedding gown, blue flowers and blue bride’s maids’ dresses. Not only is something blue an ode to the traditional wedding custom, but blue is stylish and classic. The color of the sky and the ocean, blue is the most soothing of all colors.
Whether you are planning to send out blue wedding invitations or using blue flowers on your wedding cake, infusing some blue into your wedding will surely inspire a long and happy marriage.

November 20, 2013Vintage Romance Glam!
"These invitations are gorgeous! I was looking for an elegant wedding invitation which embodied the Vintage Romance theme that I was shooting for. I went to a few local shops and was told that the style I was looking for would cost me between $9-$12 an invite... which was just not going to happen. After a lot of frustration I found Wedding Paper Divas site and loved every sample that I ordered from them (at reasonable prices to boot!). When it came down to ordering the invite this one fit the bill beautifully. It was simple yet had a unique design and looks amazing on the black pocket folds that I ordered."

At this time I decided to make a quick change and they had a new proof to me within the hour. I was expecting to wait a couple weeks before receiving them but within 2 days of approving my final artwork they were already at my door! They look great, feel great and I'm so excited to send them out! Thank you for your excellent customer service!!
