There are four customary good luck tokens for a bride as she embarks on her wedding day taken from an old English poem. Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue.
Something old signifies family, heritage and tradition. Something new represents the bride entering into her new marriage. Something borrowed is meant to be an item on lend from someone in an exemplary marriage. Lastly, something blue is based on the color of wedding gowns before the 19th century when brides began wearing white.
Traditional ideas of something blue include a blue garter or lingerie, a blue handkerchief, blue shoes or a monogram in blue thread sewn into the bride's wedding dress. Today there are even more unique ways to have something blue at your wedding. Brides are wearing blue toenail polish, blue jewelry and blue hair accessories.
There are wonderful ways to incorporate blue into a wedding, such as blue wedding invitations, a blue sash on the wedding gown, blue flowers and blue bride’s maids’ dresses. Not only is something blue an ode to the traditional wedding custom, but blue is stylish and classic. The color of the sky and the ocean, blue is the most soothing of all colors.
Whether you are planning to send out blue wedding invitations or using blue flowers on your wedding cake, infusing some blue into your wedding will surely inspire a long and happy marriage.

Customer reviews of our Blue Wedding Invitations and Invites
January 19, 2015Amazing Quality
"I am so very pleased with the outcome of my invitations! The paper quality is amazing, very sturdy, smooth, and feels much more expensive that it was! The printing is precise and clear, and the colors are identical to what you see on the screen. I am beyond thrilled with my invites and cannot wait to send them out!"

"Just sent these out this week and have gotten many compliments already. One friend even said she cried a little when she opened it up. The paper isn't super thick, but it prints beautifully and the shimmer is very subtle and nice. We had some custom colors and everything came out just how we wanted. I loved that we had room for our middle names on this card. This is my 2nd or third order from wpd and I was extremely pleased."

"These cards are amazing!! Wpd helped me in fixing my cards the way that I liked them. And the best part is it arrived days before it's actual arrival date. I got the clover one with the shimmer on the card. It's wonderful. I can't wait to send it out"

January 7, 2015Gorgeous Invitations
"I am very pleased with our wedding invitations. I loved this simple yet elegant design. I decided to use the light blue color for the background, and it complemented the engagement photos that we used beautifully. The trifold design allows you to use 4 photos, and include ceremony and reception details all in one design for added convenience and value. We decided not to use envelope liners, and also used the basic matte finish for the invitation, and even without these extra features, the overall design is beautiful. I am very pleased! The products also arrived within a few days as promised, even though I had submitted edits from the original digital proofs. I am a very satisfied customer! I can't wait to mail these out to our family and friends!"
