There are four customary good luck tokens for a bride as she embarks on her wedding day taken from an old English poem. Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue.
Something old signifies family, heritage and tradition. Something new represents the bride entering into her new marriage. Something borrowed is meant to be an item on lend from someone in an exemplary marriage. Lastly, something blue is based on the color of wedding gowns before the 19th century when brides began wearing white.
Traditional ideas of something blue include a blue garter or lingerie, a blue handkerchief, blue shoes or a monogram in blue thread sewn into the bride's wedding dress. Today there are even more unique ways to have something blue at your wedding. Brides are wearing blue toenail polish, blue jewelry and blue hair accessories.
There are wonderful ways to incorporate blue into a wedding, such as blue wedding invitations, a blue sash on the wedding gown, blue flowers and blue bride’s maids’ dresses. Not only is something blue an ode to the traditional wedding custom, but blue is stylish and classic. The color of the sky and the ocean, blue is the most soothing of all colors.
Whether you are planning to send out blue wedding invitations or using blue flowers on your wedding cake, infusing some blue into your wedding will surely inspire a long and happy marriage.

May 26, 2015Beautiful Invitation!
"When I received my sample invitation in the mail I was wonderfully surprised how stunning the card looked in person. It was everything that I was looking for. Something elegant and beautiful on some very good quality card stock paper. I was worried about ordering white writing on dark paper but it came out looking great with no smudges and nice crisp letters. I was also pleased with their sample booklet that Wedding Paper Divas sent out. It included a mini sample of every cardstock paper they offer and lots of ideas concearning finishing touches, finding the right trim, choosing a favorite font, and a list of the special services that they provide if I ever need them. Overall I am very pleased with Wedding Paper Divas and I will be ordering my invitations from them very soon."

May 19, 2015Elegant, Simple, Classy
"I picked the Raspberry color and detailed everything in the card in the special instructions portion - bc i needed my invites to be in Spanish! And the turnaround was fantastic - the designer sent it back just as i had detailed and I was able to proofread and approve and the delivery was fast. Great quality - i used the square edges on this design and it just looks so nice and elegant the raspberry is a beautiful magenta / fuchsia tone which are the colors of my wedding. Really liked the way these invites turned out. Thanks!"

"My invitations arrived quickly and I loved them straight away. The whole process was smooth, professional and a flawless product. Thankyou for making the changes I requested. I added a poem to the front and put text on the back of the invite. I was also able to change the background colour to white and heart colour to red. I felt like we had created a very beautiful invite unique to us."
