Thank You Notes Wording from Newlyweds

After the wedding and honeymoon the newlywed mind naturally turns to the token task of writing thank you notes. For some it is an easy thing, but for others the mind simply seems to get stuck and cannot think of what to say. Here are a few ideas for thank you note wording.

  1. Always keep the focus of the thank you note wording on the recipient. You may mention a few words about your honeymoon but the main part of the thank you note should be centered on the intended reader.
  2. The first part of the thank you note wording that you choose may be something along these lines "Dear ____, thank you for thinking of us on our happy day. The ___ that you sent us is truly one of the best additions to our new home. Every time that we use it, we think of you and remember you fondly."
  3. Your thank you note wording doesn't have to include formal or uncommon words but should be from the heart. The best wording for a thank you note is using your own words and writing it the way that that way that you would speak to someone.
  4. The words that you choose for your thank you note wording should be heartfelt and genuine. Don't write things that you don't mean or can't back up. If the gift is not on proud display inside your house then don't write it. It is likely that if the giver comes to your house they will look for the gift that you wrote is hanging over your mantle or above your front door.

Thank you note wording is not difficult, nor does it have to be a chore. If you are feeling overwhelmed then set for yourself the task of writing just 2 or 3 thank you notes a day. You will find in no time that your thank you notes are written and you can set your mind to other tasks.
