If you intend to get married in the late fall or early winter, you will likely find yourself — or your maid of honor — planning a fall bridal shower. The crisp air and beautiful colors are the perfect backdrop, but you can make it even more special by incorporating some of these ideas.
The weather is about to get cooler. Find a fall-themed drink recipe and include the ingredients in a mason jar, making sure you have enough for each person in attendance. If you want to go the extra mile, you can even etch the jar with your name and the date of your wedding. Use gourmet tea, coffee or cocoa recipes and ingredients to make it extra special.
If you are having an elegant bridal shower in a high-end venue, use rich colors in red, orange and yellow to decorate and add a feeling of fall inside. If you prefer a more casual affair, you can even decorate with real pumpkins, fall leaves, apples and more.
It’s time to bring out all the great foods we love during the months of October and November. From pumpkin pie to candy apples, turkey legs to chili, the possibilities are practically endless. Creating a fall-themed menu of delicious items we don’t eat year round is the perfect way to have your guests talking about the food at your shower for quite a long time after it’s over.
Combine Halloween with your bridal shower for a bit of silly fun. Play Halloween-themed bridal shower games such as bobbing for wedding rings instead of apples, serve candy and cider throughout the night and decorate with traditional Halloween décor. You can even have everyone dress in costume.
Regardless of the type of bridal shower you decide to have, Wedding Paper Divas is sure to have fall bridal shower invitations to fit your style. Royal Roses is simple and understated while Tea Poppies is the perfect mix of adorable and elegant for an afternoon tea shower.
"The invitation turned out prettier than I imagined. The text and colors were amazing. The gold shimmer envelopes were the perfect touch - high quality/rich looking."
"This card was perfect for the birdal shower I was giving. The bride's wedding colors are navy blue and whiite, so these were just right for the occasion. I added the pearl shimmer and that added a nice touch to the card."
"Did the color in navy. Changed the script to a different font. Design service was awesome as had a concern about a font I had originally picked for the registry line..they gave me 2 proofs and did great job. Would totally recommend this site!! Responded quickly!"
"The floral motif looks like it's executed in water color- with nice transparentcy - the paper also resembles water color paper in that it's not smooth. This gives a cohesive look to this card. If it were printed on flat paper it would not have looked as beautiful - and would look cheap. I should have varied the font style and size a bit more - perhaps making some lines bolder or larger - that aspect could have been improved - I also liked the square shape of this card - I didn't order the square envelope - the card fits well in the larger rectangular envelope - and when it's addressed it looks fine - but for a more formal/ custom look I suggest the custom square corresponding envelope. ( I think the postage is more - so double check with post office)."
"I absolutely loved how these invites for my Sister's wedding shower turned out and had a great experience. The designer was kind enough to help in customizing and adding an extra line of text I wanted ("J&E - The Perfect Blend" to tie together the tea theme). The quality of the materials was great. Also, while it's difficult to see online how the pearlescent glimmer looks, in printed form it is beautiful, and luxurious. I chose to also buy the envelopes, return address label wraps, thank you cards, and envelopes. My plan is to label & stamp the thank you's and give that to my sister as a gift (as saving her time on these will make her so happy). I rarely write reviews, but felt this experience was well worth it. Many thanks, WPD & Elk Design."
