No matter what type of wedding-related event you are currently planning, you likely want it to be cute and fitting with the rest of the events surrounding your nuptials. Your bridal shower hostess may be able to find cute bridal shower invitations right here on Wedding Paper Divas. While the invitations are important because they sent the tone for the entire get together, what goes on at the party is even more vital.
Most bridal showers consist of playing games, opening presents, eating food and mingling. If you have a lot of guests who do not know each other well, the party may feel awkward. As the hostess, you need to plan a few games to ensure the guests are able to have fun.
A guest scavenger hunt requires that everyone talk to the other guests. You can have them searching for a variety of different people, such as ‘someone from Minnesota’ or ‘someone who can speak three languages.’ The party-goers have to talk to each other to see who fits the bill. The trick is that a person who speaks three languages can only sign three cards. This means not everyone can go to the same person. This game does require that you know a bit about the guests however, because you want to be sure that the goals are attainable.
If you want something a little simpler, you can try playing the name game. As each guest arrives, you should attach the name of a famous real or fictional person, such as Abraham Lincoln, Vanna White or Harry Potter, to their back without him or her seeing the name. Each guest has to ask the others at the party yes or no questions about the person on their back. The first party goer to guess their famous person correctly should win some sort of prize. This game is fun, easy to set up and gets the guests talking to each other.
"The invitation turned out prettier than I imagined. The text and colors were amazing. The gold shimmer envelopes were the perfect touch - high quality/rich looking."
"This card was perfect for the birdal shower I was giving. The bride's wedding colors are navy blue and whiite, so these were just right for the occasion. I added the pearl shimmer and that added a nice touch to the card."
"Did the color in navy. Changed the script to a different font. Design service was awesome as had a concern about a font I had originally picked for the registry line..they gave me 2 proofs and did great job. Would totally recommend this site!! Responded quickly!"
"The floral motif looks like it's executed in water color- with nice transparentcy - the paper also resembles water color paper in that it's not smooth. This gives a cohesive look to this card. If it were printed on flat paper it would not have looked as beautiful - and would look cheap. I should have varied the font style and size a bit more - perhaps making some lines bolder or larger - that aspect could have been improved - I also liked the square shape of this card - I didn't order the square envelope - the card fits well in the larger rectangular envelope - and when it's addressed it looks fine - but for a more formal/ custom look I suggest the custom square corresponding envelope. ( I think the postage is more - so double check with post office)."
"I absolutely loved how these invites for my Sister's wedding shower turned out and had a great experience. The designer was kind enough to help in customizing and adding an extra line of text I wanted ("J&E - The Perfect Blend" to tie together the tea theme). The quality of the materials was great. Also, while it's difficult to see online how the pearlescent glimmer looks, in printed form it is beautiful, and luxurious. I chose to also buy the envelopes, return address label wraps, thank you cards, and envelopes. My plan is to label & stamp the thank you's and give that to my sister as a gift (as saving her time on these will make her so happy). I rarely write reviews, but felt this experience was well worth it. Many thanks, WPD & Elk Design."
