Sending a wedding invitation isn’t as simple as sending an invitation to a birthday party. Wedding suites often include an influx of information that must be well-organized and well-presented in order for guests to understand where and when your wedding is and what is expected of them. Be sure to include the following in your invitation suite.
Of course the most important part of your invitation suite is the actual invitation. Include the time and date of your wedding as well as the location. If your reception will be held at a different location, be sure to include information for both venues. If your wedding has a specific dress code, be sure to indicate it on the invitation.
The response card is what your guests will send back to indicate how many are attending and which meal they choose if your reception is a sit-down dinner. It is a good idea to number your guest list and the response cards as a way to keep track of those cards that are hard to read or do not include a name. Be sure to enclose a stamp for your guests to use when returning the card.
If you have guests who will be coming in from out of town, include an accommodation card with information about one or two hotels in the area. Because rooms can book fast, it may be helpful to provide a target date by which they should book. If you have a block reserved or if you will be paying for accommodations, include the information on the card.
Although not part of a traditional wedding suite, 2.25 x 2.25 enclosure cards are becoming more common and are often used to provide a URL to the couple’s wedding website as well as a short description of the information available on it, such as directions, hotel information and song request forms. Wedding Paper Divas provides dozens of enclosure cards in styles that range from traditional to cute. You can even design your own.
"Used as a favor card to lay on top of napkins at reception dinner. Great print quality and colors. Looked just like what I uploaded."
"These are adorable cards, perfect for that extra memo for your guests. They are on the smaller side, so try to limit the length of the message. I used these for our wedding website address, and just wish our website address we used was shorter so it didn't look like it was running off the card. Otherwise I love these cards!"
"Love that you can work with a designer to customize the design. We wanted a different color for some of the text. The designers went through a few back and forths till we got the design just right. I appreciate the time they took to listen. End product was just what we wanted."
"I changed this card around a lot and the customer service was amazing! We wanted to make this our accommodations card for guest to use to block off the hotel room. (The hotel would provide a card, but that meant it wouldn't match the rest of my wedding suite!) The staff did everything I wanted them to do - take out the initial's on the top, change certain words to be a special color and fit all text on the card. It turned out great, cannot wait to mail the invitations out! I only wish this card was 1/2 to 1 inch larger in all directions but I did know the size before ordering it and I'm happy I did."
"We used these to go with the matching 'Tree Tale' invitations we bought. I loved them, they went perfectly with the invites and I adored the tree detail on the back. Thank you Wedding Paper Divas!"
