Weddings of today have skyrocketed in price as everyone aims to create a show stopping event that makes a memorable impact. While some brides and grooms are lucky to have family paying for these increased costs, not everyone is able to spend tens of thousands of dollars on their special day. If you and your future spouse are tackling the wedding budget on your own, you can still create an amazing celebration. Being conscious of your budget just means that you need to be more creative and resourceful to get exactly what you want. The good news is that there are plenty of options when it comes to wedding invitations in your price range and affordable thank you cards that look like the expensive stuff.
The biggest expense for most weddings is the venue and food cost. You can save some cash on this investment by making a few adjustments. First, try booking your venue on a day in the middle of the week or a Sunday afternoon instead of the more popular wedding times of Friday or Saturday night. It’s also more affordable to choose a wedding during quieter times of the year, such as winter. For food costs, the best way to control the budget is to limit your guest count. If you have your heart set on a fancy custom invitation, use your own talents to mimic the style and create your own professional looking invitations. Simply upload your design online and have it printed out on fine paper.
Additionally, you can save money on your dress by going with a secondhand wedding dress. You can get the look of a thousand-dollar dress without spending more than a few hundred bucks. You can also save funds by doing a lot of the décor creation yourself. Consider buying your own flowers in bulk from a wholesaler and arranging your own bouquets and centerpieces. Make your own favors and secure with stylish gift tags to end the night in romantic style.
"The colors are sharp and happy, which we wanted for a Thank You card. Our invites were the Delicate Ambiance, and save the dates and thank yous were this design (rustic print) which gave a good contrast while still being relevant to each other."
"The colors, the quality of the paper and design were perfect. I am so delighted with these Thank You Cards. They arrived earlier than expected. I am very satisfied with this company and their products."
"We ordered as-is in grey, but obviously with our names instead of those on the sample ;) The one issue we had was that the packing slip said (and therefore shipped) 125 cards but only 100 envelopes, and since the "contact us" link doesn't work, there wasn't much we could do about it. We love the cards, but this was definitely the one snag."
"Thank you cards look great. I am very pleased with my whole order. Brides out there check Wedding Paper Divas for your needs."
"We are having a destination beach wedding, that will be both intimate and relaxed. We wanted a card that represented our style more than the location, but we chose the blue and gold design to also play on the beach theme. We purchased the Save the Date, Invitation, RSVP, and Thank you cards in this style all at once. It was all very easy to do online and was returned to us quickly for review prior to print. We love them all, but there is a difference between the gold color - what I would call a true yellow gold color - on the Thank You card and the "gold" - what I would call more of a sand color on all the other cards. This is fine for our wedding in that it lends itself to a beach theme, and I doubt anyone will be holding all of the cards up to each other to match color (other than me). If your looking for the color to match across the board, this may not be for you. Overall we couldn't be happier with the total product and experience."
