Do you need to know what type of enclosures you should include with your wedding invitations as well as what those enclosures should say? Do you need to brush up on your etiquette for sending wedding invitation reply cards? Our comprehensive and informative guide below provides all of the information you will need about wedding response card etiquette, suggestions on wedding invitation reply cards and more.
Invitation Enclosures Etiquette
The enclosures included in your wedding invitations do more than just help you keep track of how many guests will be coming to your wedding. That is why invitation enclosure etiquette-from wedding response card etiquette to wedding reception card etiquette-is so vital.
Wedding Response Card Etiquette
Enclosed within the invitation, the wedding response card is always sent with a stamp affixed to a self-addressed envelope. This helps to ensure that the bride and groom and/or wedding planners have an accurate count of the number of guests expected to attend. An additional benefit of response cards is that they can also include the guests' meal preferences so just the right amount of food and drinks are ordered.
Wedding Reception Cards Etiquette
What do you do if not all information about the reception will fit on the invitation? Send wedding reception cards with the additional information you need to supply. These wedding reception cards also are good if you are inviting more guests to the ceremony than the reception. In this case, these cards are inserted into the invitations of only certain people.
In addition to wedding reception cards, map and direction cards should also be printed and included if some guests aren't as familiar with the area in which you're holding your ceremony. These should be included in everyone's invitation if you so choose to print them.

Customer reviews of our Wedding Enclosure Cards
June 19, 2015So cute!--just ensure they're seen w/in invitation
"This product was great! I asked my designer to make these enclosure cards match the colors of the rest of my invitation and they came out perfectly! They come in these cute little plastic boxes and kind of remind me of little trading cards. My only concern with these, once I tried placing them in my invitation envelopes, was how to ensure that they would be seen by my guests (my fear was that they might slip down into the corner of the invitation envelope and not be noticed). I ended up using those little double sided tape pieces that scrapbooker use, to tape the enclosure card onto the Reply card. It actually looked really cute, and guaranteed it would be seen."
October 21, 2014Just the right size
"We used the enclosure cards to provide information about accommodations and our wedding website. I was initially concerned about getting all of the information on the card but it fit perfectly. The design team adjusted things to ensure it looked great. I appreciated the easy process!"
May 8, 2014Customized for a wedding invitation
"We are having a very small wedding and a larger reception. I was able to fully customize this to make it the wedding invitation, and made the wedding invitation for the reception. I called and spoke with a customer service associate and she was so helpful and answered all my questions, making it a pleasure to order!"
June 5, 2013Wonderful little info card
"We really needed to give our guests more information about our reception, so we chose this card and changed the wording up a bit. It is now a great little info card! WPD was wonderful at helping me with the wording. They pointed out any typos and suggested some word changes so that the card was more uniform with our invitations. I couldn't be happier!"
March 7, 2012Perfect Card!
"These turned out perfect. They had all my information printed precisely how I asked. Great high quality card stock. Very pleased!"
