Choosing a color scheme can be one of the hardest parts of planning a wedding, but once it's done, it can make so many other decisions easier. If you'll be sending out modern save the date cards and modern bridal shower invitations, then here are some modern color schemes to consider.
Any of these three can be the main color with some small accents, depending on the look you want. Using predominately orange or coral tends to create a bright and lively look, while when teal is the focal point, the look is more sophisticated. Since these colors carry so much pop, avoid patterns that are too busy.
Anytime you mix a floral color with a shade of green, it's a great opener for a garden theme. Using black or gray can help tone down the bright contrast of the other two colors, giving the eye a place to rest. Consider pairing purple on the ladies with lime green on the little girls.
The deepness of maroon adds refinement to two otherwise playful colors. Maroon and bubble gum together occur naturally in nature on many different flowers, usually as a gradient where the edges are darker and the center bright or pale. You can use this inspiration to create beautiful color flow in your decor.
By using slate between the other two colors, you bring them together in a classy and elegant look. This pallet looks great at evening weddings, especially if you keep all three tones at their richest. Consider using navy and slate labels with a pop or orange papaya on the reverse side.
Bringing two contrasting colors together with a dark or neutral one makes crafting a modern color pallet a snap. Be sure to use these colors in your decorations and modern bridal shower invitations. Peruse our website to find some matching labels, thank you cards and more.
"I personalized this card for my soon to be sister in law's bridal shower and I could not be happier. The paper is high quality and textured. The ink is bright and printed exactly as it is shown in the pictures. The other party hosts were thrilled when they saw the invitations I chose, both thought they were "happy and cute". I would definitely buy again, the only downside was having to pay 70 cents per card for postage as they are a "small and odd" shape according to the post office."
"The colors were accurately presented in this card. Beautiful, cheerful and very good quality! Review service was quick and helpful in personalizing my invitation. The delivery was on time as well."
"The floral motif looks like it's executed in water color- with nice transparentcy - the paper also resembles water color paper in that it's not smooth. This gives a cohesive look to this card. If it were printed on flat paper it would not have looked as beautiful - and would look cheap. I should have varied the font style and size a bit more - perhaps making some lines bolder or larger - that aspect could have been improved - I also liked the square shape of this card - I didn't order the square envelope - the card fits well in the larger rectangular envelope - and when it's addressed it looks fine - but for a more formal/ custom look I suggest the custom square corresponding envelope. ( I think the postage is more - so double check with post office)."
"The quality of the paper was very good and the printing turned out just how I wanted it! I just mailed out the invitations so I will not here any feedback until received."
"I absolutely loved how these invites for my Sister's wedding shower turned out and had a great experience. The designer was kind enough to help in customizing and adding an extra line of text I wanted ("J&E - The Perfect Blend" to tie together the tea theme). The quality of the materials was great. Also, while it's difficult to see online how the pearlescent glimmer looks, in printed form it is beautiful, and luxurious. I chose to also buy the envelopes, return address label wraps, thank you cards, and envelopes. My plan is to label & stamp the thank you's and give that to my sister as a gift (as saving her time on these will make her so happy). I rarely write reviews, but felt this experience was well worth it. Many thanks, WPD & Elk Design."
