Spring is the time of revitalization, renaissance and regeneration … it is the perfect time to begin a new chapter in your life with a wedding. Buds are awakening, flowers are blossoming, and birds and butterflies are filling the skies; spring oozes the essence of charm and romance.
Choose invitations that offer a hint of gentleness and simple elegance. Trim them with rounded corners to emit a sense of softness. Floral frames or a muted watercolor background of flowers also adds a nice, tender touch. If you prefer to include a photo, choose one of you and your beloved in a sweet embrace or a calm moment in a romantic setting, and avoid images focused on high energy activity.
Opt for light, breezy attire such as sundresses and linen shirts. If outdoors, take into consideration whether there is likely to be wind and choose dresses that your wedding party can confidently walk in without holding in place. Avoid tight up-dos and choose loose, flowing locks for increased romance.
Choose an outdoor venue such as a garden or other space where the world is blooming around you. This eliminates the need for décor as nature will take care of that for you. If indoors, choose bouquets of wildflowers and decorate with an array of seasonal plants. Keep music soft, with romantic classical being an easy go-to.
Forget layering heavy icing on the wedding cake; adorn the tiers with full, fresh blossoms. A buttery yellow collection of petals can bring in a subtle hint of sunshine, or a loosely displayed grouping of colorful wildflowers on the cake and table around it can bring in a more bohemian touch.
Allow the amor to flow through your event with attention to the small things. From the rounded corner wedding invitations to the classical love-inspired tunes, love and romance will be the mood of the day.
"I am so happy with my invitations. The quality of the paper is great...weighty and perfectly textured. The design is so elegant. The only thing I would say is that they are smaller than I expected but I was reading that's that is a good thing as it saves on postage! Service was also prompt and a pleasant experience."
"Absolutely beautiful. It was really easy to customize the wedding invite. My designer did a great job of brining my ideas to life. I really wanted to be able to include our parents in the invite and the designer came up with a great solution and moved a few things around. The invite is exactly what we wanted. Thank you so much!"
"My color theme for my wedding it a variation of purples and this invitation was just perfect for it. The quality is also great! Delivery was amazingly fast! I am very satisfied with my finished product and would definitely recommend them to anyone."
"We LOVED these wedding invites from the second we saw them and got tons of positive feedback! I love the subtle color variations in the leaf designs (we used the green option - we were having an outdoor summer wedding) and think the font colors complimented it nicely. The only change we made was to put the phrase "reception to follow"and the "and" between our names into Willa Bold font rather than the script font. We were sent proofs promptly, and the designer listened to our suggestions. Overall, the printing quality was excellent, the invites arrived in a timely manner and just as advertised, and the paper was fantastic. What helped most was that we ordered sample invitations from WPD (8 for free) and they send you a super helpful paper stock sample guide. I would highly recommend doing this, because it shows you exactly what you're going to get! Overall, we were super happy with the invitations!"
"My fiance and I fell in love with these invitations because of the beautiful trees. The invitation was simple, yet perfect to describe to our guests the feel of our wedding. The invitations turned out beautifully. I gave the Design 4 stars only because there isn't room to add much else - so the wording you see is really all that will fit (which in reality, is probably a good thing so that the invitation doesn't get too cluttered.)"
