Wedding reception invitations are traditionally included with the wedding invitation but sometimes are sent on their own. Your wedding reception invitations should match and compliment your wedding invitation but should still have a few unique details of their own. This could be choosing another shade of the same color, a complimentary color, a different type of paper, or even a unique shape of paper. Keep an open mind about your options and you might be surprised with the results. The information that you include on your wedding reception invitations is vital, so be sure to have someone double-check it for typos and accuracy. This information should include: the name and location of the reception venue, a contact person in case someone gets lost, and perhaps even a small map of the area to help your guests find their way to the reception site more easily. You should also include any information that your guests might need to know about the reception such as 'alcohol-free', 'bring your own beverage', 'prepare for a long and full night of dancing', or any other comments to help them to better plan their attire and schedule.
Customer reviews of our Stylish Wedding Reception Invitations and Wedding Reception Cards
December 21, 2014Perfect Reception Cards
"My fiance and I ordered these along with the matching invitations. We changed the wording a little bit and they look lovely. We ordered the amethyst reception cards with shimmer paper and had the perfect poinsettia design printed on the back of the cards as well, matching the invitations. I'm very happy with the way these turned out."
September 23, 2014Beautiful!
"I ordered this for the reception at our destination wedding and it is beautiful! Also, they put directions from the ceremony to reception on the back for no extra charge! We ordered the blue border with Orange coral, a little worried it would look too colorful, but the blue is Very subtle. The card stock it was printed on, I chose no gloss, looks very classy."
March 23, 2014Simple and so lovely
"Again, I ordered the whole suite which consisted of the invitation, an enclosure card, reception card and response card. The color I selected was "Gilded" which is the perfect shade of mustard that contrasted beautifully with the bright white. I changed the font to Vintage Roman. The font along with the color gave the card a little vintage touch. I am so pleased with the end product."
March 3, 2014Swirl Enclosure Card
"We wound up using this reception card as an enclosure card to include our wedding website for further information. It matched the invitation perfectly and was nice to include an enclosure that was slightly different design wise from the response card in the suite. We went with the Pearl White Shimmer paper for the entire suite and I highly recommend it if you are going with this for your invitation choice!"
June 17, 2013reception card
"We wanted to add more text and a picture to this card, so we took a snap shot of a document that included the RSVP information and a picture of us. Then we uploaded the snap shot to the back of the card, and it turned out great."
